A Complete Guide to Creating a Google-My-Business Account

Step 1: Make sure you aren't already listed on Google My Business.

Make sure you're not already on any of the following lists before you begin. Go to Google Maps and search for your company; move around the map to see if there is a pin on your workplace; then search on Google+.

STEP 2: GO TO THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE

Go to https://google.com/business, and the following screen will appear.

Click the Manage Now button.

You'll need those log-in credentials if you already have a Google account that you want to connect to your business.

Enter your firm name, address, and contact information here. When you submit your company name, it will try to match it with records in its database.

If there are listings here for your firm, go back to Step 1 and thoroughly examine to see if listings are already set up for your business.

 

STEP 3: ENTER YOUR COMPANY NAME

STEP 4: Select the category that best satisfies your company.

You must choose one of the categories from the list of suggestions provided by Google.

 

Step 5: Decide whether to include a location.

Here you will decide whether or not to add an actual storefront that the public may visit (and have it shown on Google Maps).

Step 6: Enter Your Address

Enter your whole and correct address.

STEP 7: REVIEW POSSIBLE LISTINGS

If a probable near match is detected, you may be asked to confirm whether one of many current sites is your business at this point.

If none of those follow to you, choose the selection and proceed. 

Step 8: Fill up Your Contact Information

Then you may add your phone number and the URL of your website.

 

STEP 9: COMPLETE AND VERIFY YOUR COMPANY

Then you must validate your company, which might take many days.

Google may provide you with an alternative option to verify your firm. Still, most business owners will have to wait for a postcard with a verification number to be delivered to them.
